SHOW AND TELL
hi... hows it going in cyber world, mine is non existent at the moment, doing a little stitching, and a little machining, but thats it really! pshycing myself up for the festive season.. i have a little to show you today, a little of my "at the moment" loves,
a doodle stitchery pin cushion, this was for a swap-bot, swap challenge i hosted, to doodle a sketch then stitch your sketch on a pin cushion, i love stitchery and i loved making this little angel of the sea... she was posted off to my swap partner in the U.S.A, and she absolutely adored it.
an autumn themed mini art quilt, it is 8x8 inches big, and i stitched, beeded and embellished it all by hand in the car from Brisbane to Sydney.. (twisty corners, bumpy roadworks an all). I love how it turned out, and it now belongs to Nikki, and i know she loves and appreciates it.
this mini art quilt was such a joy to create, i havent scrapbooked in a few years, not since i got hooked on the needle and thread again!, but this has made me a-l-m-o-s-t want to pick up some paper, double sided tape and scissors!! I wanted to create basically a fabric scrapbooking page, and i just loved every second of it. the photo was printed straight on to calico, and using some beautiful fabrics, vintage lace, crochet flowers and ric rac, i was stoked with the end result...edited to add.... this quiltie was seen by someone on flickr and is now being published in an upcoming issue of a U.S.A mag!! wooooo hooooo...
