Hi, Remember me??, its o.k if you dont it has been a while since i visited! I have been busy making lots of things for work for the crafternoons. The crafternoons are held at Threads and More every saturday and sunday from now until christmas, and there are some beautiful things to make and learn. you can see the list of yummies here I have just recently had my Niece the beautiful Emma-Jean over for the weekend, Miss Angel/Monster just loves her, she is constantly saying to me "i really really love Emmy Mummy" they watched some DVD's, played lots of games, read lots of books and did a bit of baking... they made these delicious looking scrummies for us to enjoy after dinner!

I am still totally addicted to my crochet, and just cant seem to stop, i swear i will probably never knit again, (well i wont after i have finished the few tea cosies i have on the go at the moment, and the all in one top down malibrigo lace cardi i am in the middle of!). I have finally finished my Babette blanket #2 and will post pics in another post, along with a rug i crocheted for Miss Amelia Rose. Here are a few dishcloths i have been working on.

Along the lines of swapping i havent done much in the last 6 months, nothing is really taking my fancy, I did however sign up for a long term Fat Journal swap, which will run for quite a long time, where we are given a theme and we have to create a chunky/layered page, this months theme was paisley, this is what i created and it is on its was to the USA as of a few hours ago. lots of hand drawing in this one and lots of dimensional foam and diamond glaze... i am really with happy how it turned out, and cant wait for the next theme to be announced..

here are a few dolls made for a customer order, they were just quick child friendly ones, so no beading, embroidery or major embellishments on these little precious girls.

we have these new Babushka kits available at work, and i really enjoyed making this sweet think, it is much bigger than i thought it was going to be, but its a pleasant suprise, i can wait till there all sold out, so i can keep this one for myself! I dont keep many things i make i usually give them away or sell them , but this one i may keep!

so back to the crafternoons, here are some examples of just a few of the classes. Crochet snow flake and felted beads, we had our first felted bead class on Sunday and a great turnout it was, i was feeling a little nervous going in to teach this class, as the wonderful textile artist Raewyn Penrose from NZ is at the shop for the next week felting up a storm, and well, all was o.k, i didn't have to be nervous, because, well, Raewyn being the wonderful person she is offered to take the class for me, so all the girls doing the class got a huge bonus, being taught by the BEST! They all made wondeeful beads and some pretty amazing licorice logs which once they are dry will be sliced up and made into whatever they desire!

These are the softies i have made for the Adults softie class, Every school holidays i teach a kids softie making class, and lots of customers that wonder through the store while these are on, and parents of the kids, have asked will i teach this to adults, i have never really considered this as i didn't think i had the confidence, nor were my little toys good enough, but well they are, and so i am, i have had a great response, and the booking for this class are going great guns!

this little stocking is one i have made for the wee wonderfuls stitchery class, along with the santa sack below it, the stitchery is a free pattern here

The kids are all good, Master B is just about to finish Grade 10, and has picked his subjects for next year, Maths3 and Maths2, (to do Maths 3, the highest maths you have to do maths 2 also), Graphics, Music, English, Physics, and Industrial Tech Design.. when we were in with the Guidance counsellor and head of Maths choosing these subjects, my eyes and ears were dropping out of my head, I said to "B" that is a huge work load maybe you should make your backup subject (thats the subject they choose in case they cant get into one of there chosen subjects) something bludgy, something that wont stress your brain so much! so he says to me yeah mum your right, i will put down Chemistry!!!!..... WTF!!!! Chemistry........ im sure that wasn't a bludgy subject when i was at school. But the Councellor and head of maths said nah thats fine, he can handle all that............. So guess what Master B is getting for christmas..... TUTORS!!!!! cause i sure as hell cant help him with ANY of those subjects!

Miss Angel/Monster has been unwell lately so we have had more Miss Monster than Miss Angel we had a bit of a rush to Mater childrens as her doctor didnt know what was wrong with her,they said it could either be meningitis, hand foot and mouth, or some other disease i can say let alone spell, either way they said if they do tests to find out what it is they cant help anyway!, and seeing she had blisters all through her mouth, they say that thats viral, so there is nothing that could treat it she was a big brave girl, with at least 6 doctors checking her over, 2 of which looked like they were (in Abby's words wearing "space suits"), but it was just gowns and slippers, and face masks and cloves up to their elbows!!!, but to a nearly 4 year old thats kinda scarey! they put it down to "probably" hand, foot and mouth. so a few weeks at home with mum, and lots od DVD's (i had to join a video store!), a few hours crafting (ahh thats my girl!) lots of cuddles, custard and iceblocks. she is well now, just one lone blister on her lip left and im sure that should be gone by morning.

well im signing off now, i will post the babette pics a little later on, i have to do the motherly/wifey thing now and cook dinner. Thanks for reading...................................A x

Remember these pictures from a few posts ago, I was working on "something"............

Well i have finished playing with my pretty yarn and pointy sticky and came up with these..........

yep you guessed it tea cosies!!! A Bubushka doll i have endearingly named Anushka. and a little grassy hill with rabbit burrows and bunnies... I had a huge giggle while making them both, especially at the bunny with his big bottom stuck in the hole!

They now (temporarily) reside at Threads and more, until after the big morning tea for cancer research. then who knows where they will end up, maybe auctioned off for charity, maybe in my cupboard... we will have to wait and see!

HAPPY EASTER

Hi Everyone, what are you up to this easter??, we are keeping it pretty quite here, lunches and dinners with family, chocolate, hot cross buns, seafood, and crochet!

Food, yarn and crafting, what could be better!

Miss Angel/Monster is going to take a big step this easter, She is leaving a present out for the easter bunny, not a carrot, or milk, or anything to eat or drink....NO... she is leaving the easter bunny her dummies!, YES thats right my Miss 3 is still addicted to the little rubber thing that she plonks in her mouth at bed time.. So she is "going to be strong" and trade them for easter eggs. But this comes with rules made by her...... apparently! Miss A says to me during the week... "Now mum!, about the easter bunny getting my dummies.. when he hops hops hops and takes them away, he has to leave me only chocolate eggs, not toy eggs, and not toys just chocolate eggs and they have to be purple!". Ahh thats my little cadbury girl! So have a wonderful easter from my family to yours.... and think about me the first night without a dummy!!!!!!!..................................Ax

Whats in my project bag(s) this week!

The first thing thats in my bag of goodies today are all the samples i have made for my kids classes being held this easter holidays at Threads and More, Sherwood. We have had lots of interest and there are only 1 or 2 spots left in each class, so if you want to get your kids in, phone the shop on 3379 6699 asap!

stuffies, felt accessories, felting, and stitchery.

This little bag of yarn is ready to be created with, i have it all in my head, but to give you a clue, its something for the BIG MORNING TEA for the Cancer council. It is being held where i work, Threads and More on Sunday May 30th, its a huge day, with lots of chatting, fundraising, and the amazing tea cozy comp, being judged this year by non other that the queen of tea cosies herself LOANI PRIOR the author of Wild Tea Cosies and soon to be released Really Wild Tea Cosies.

yes my favorite colours.... stay tuned, should be done in about a week!

and.... this dull, yuck, boring bundle below.... well it will hopefully be awesome when finished, i cant tell you what it is, cause its a suprise, but i can bet its not what you think it is! And in my Pretty Cheep (as in the bird) project bag, is a little huddle of crochet squares, growing very very quickly i might add, again they will have a purpose its in my head, although i think i have got a few good working months till its ready for show and tell..

so thats what im working on at the moment, i have 2 mini quilts on the go also, but thats another post when their done, and gone to their homes,

and you wanna know why?? (no i havent finished your OWL bag!!!!) I LEARNT TO CROCHET !!! yes me!!! the girl who tried to do a circle under your wonderful teaching and supervision and turned the darn thing into a little hat or egg cosy by accident!!!! well check this out... im turning this........................ into............ this.............. ME + 3.5mm HOOK + BINGO COTTON = MY FIRST "REAL" CROCHET PROJECT, a babette blanket.... and i looooove love love it. i am addicted, and i have learnt at least one valuable lesson along the way... weave in your ends as you go.... i was doing a few squares at home the other day, put it all in the box and went and hung the washing out. A few minutes later Abby came out to me and said "i helped you with your square things mummy" did you i replied as im dashing towards my pride and joy squares, and she says yes.. "i cut all the strings off for you".. ARRRGGGGHHHHH (well that was not the words i really used) she had snipped all my ends i had ready to be woven in, luckily there were on about 7 squares (a whole pannel) not stitched together yet... but still a good half days crocheting unable to be saved..... needless to say they now reside in Abby's dolls house! miss you girlfriend, come back to OZ and visit me soon............. I "HEART" FELTING

We had at Threads and More, the wonderful Raewyn Penrose from New Zealand visiting the store, sharing her enthusiasm, creativity and skills with many people who were lucky enough to secure a place in one of her inspiring classes. i WAS one of the lucky ones!! wanna see what i created????

i made this beautiful hat!, and i just adore it, i wore it at work all day today! I made it with out the flower on friday, and when i bought it into work this morning to show the girls the finished (dried) result, this blousy bloom (flower) was sitting on a display. It was made by the amazingly talented Marion Douglas, so i JUST HAD TO pin it to my hat! so now its mine! (another class i will have to do )

and this cool bag, i used some pre felts for the circles, and wet felted it all down to this, it has 3 pockets inside for all the bits we as women collect throughout the day!!

once the sholder straps are made it will be a back pack.

I also took a class last week with the just as talented and amazing textile artist Phillipa Rooke. Phillipa tought me how to Nuno flelt, this is a branch of felting i have NEVER done before, and its different form wet felting as such, you felt wool sliver onto beautiful silk fabric, its so delicate and soft.

yesss, just another textile addiction to add to my ever growing list..

WET FELTING (8+) Tuesday 6th April, 9.30 - 1.00 - $45 (includes morning tea and all materials) We will be doing basic felting techniques to create a finished piece that can either be a wall hanging, bag, ipod cover, anything your child wants it to be. Creativity and enthusiasm is the only experience they need! and all they need to bring is 2 towels! (yes its wet!)

SOFTIES - fun with felt.. (8+) ,

Thursday April 8th 9.30 - 1.00 $45 (includes morning tea and all materials) Your children will design there own softie, anything they can imagine and i will help them make it into reality! The kids will learn to design, cut out, create, stitch, embellish and then stuff their new creations. they will walk out with a new friend to love.

STITCHERY SAMPLER (8+),

Friday 9th April (AM class)9.30 - 12noon $45 (included morning tea and all materials) We will be learing basic stitchery, with a sample on aida cloth, stitchery is the "in thing" at the moment for all ages, we will learning stitches that can be used in many ways on many things, running stitch, blanket stitch, lazy dazy, etc. .................................... APPLIQUE ACCESSORIES (8+) Friday 9th April (PM class) 1.00 - 3.30 $45 (includes afternoon tea and all materials) YES.... more fun with felt, in this class we will be playing with felt, designing and constructing something we can wear as a brooch, add to a head band, or maybe clip it to a bag! lots of layering and embellishing in this class too! (Even the mums will want to learn from their kids!) .................NOTE: all classes are for ages 8 and over, unfortunately we are unable to take younger aged children for these classes this time... sorry!, all classes include a small break and something to eat and drink (fuel the creativity with cake i say!!!) thanks for reading..................................... i love a good doodle!

about 7 months ago, i was send a book a girlfriend had made me, based on the WRECK THIS JOURNAL by Keri Smith , i love doing it so i just HAD to buy the original book and i just cant stop...

So what the heck is "Wreck this journal" i hear you ask!! well to create is to destroy, and that is exactly what this book encourages you to do! its simple, through a variety of exercises, the book encourages you to break free of rules and assumptions, to think seriously outside the box, and thus free up your creativity. From burning pages, colouring outside the lines, hanging it in a public place and letting complete strangers add to you book. So anyway, i started it just before christmas, and want to share what i have done so far....

so this is what the book looks like when you receive it, all nice and neat and tidy with clean cream pages, a nice shiny black cover with a brown spine.... so as you go through the book there are instructions to follow on every page, the first page is your title page which later on it the book you are told to - Doodle over it... so with some help from my old faithful sharpies, i set to work, well actually Abby "helped me" i just had to colour over it!

then you have to add page numbers, i couldn't just leave the page clean and blankish i had to doodle!!!........and then you start getting into the dirty destructive stuff... yayaya

ripping pages to shreads... which after i had drawn all over it, it was quite hard to tear up.... lucky for me the page after that one said... stick something to this page, so i stuck the page i tore up, back together on it... and the scratch page i used an embroidery needle.

scribbling wildly with borrowed pans, and colouring out side the lines...

i am trying to be destructive and not care, but...... well im getting there!

wrecking the cover.... i didnt really know what to do here, as i didnt want to doodle on it, as my doodling tends to be neat and pretty, so i trashed a vintage golden book, and well... glued hap- hazardly!

burn this page.... i used a cigarette lighter, and the element on the stove..... and yes.... a cigarette too!

lots of circles.... can you spot the catterpillar, teddy, owl, grumpy old man face and smiley face... i know, im suppose to be destructive.... but as i said... im trying!!!!!

document time passing.... what better way to document it.... doodling of course! these 2 pages took me about 4 hours over 3 nights... oh, and 3 pilot fineliners!!!!!

1. tear out page, crumple into a ball

2. place journal into a triangle shape

3. hit/kick the ball through the triangle....

well my journal wouldn't stand very well, hence no goal scored for me!

now this page i found the hardest to do so far....... take the journal in the shower with you... i was going to wait until the journal was all done before i did this, but i was a little scared all the sharpies would run and the pages would stick together...... which obviously is the point of the exercise..... destruction dear destruction!!! but i just couldnt, maybe i will try again to do it later, so with only a handful of the pages done.... yep, it joined me in the shower.... and its still hanging there today drying....

i am quite impressed that with the thickness and the quality of the paper, none of them have stuck together, they are a little wrinkled, and a few have run, and the glue is disolving a little, but all is o.k, so i think it will be a few more days till i can do a few more pages..... just gotta wait for it to dry out!!!

i am enjoying this exercise, and i am learning to "let go" and that not everything has to be perfect,

p.s, sorry for the shower shot.... but that was the best of a bad lot... trust me on that..... i didnt know my boobs hung so low!

Remember me showing you these journals..... they are Round Robin Art Journals, where you do a few pages then send it to the next person, then they send it on etc etc etc, where i eventually get it back completely full of inspiration, artwork from around the globe .... wellll..... one of them went awol, yes its missing!!!! 2 people away from it coming back to me.... i was and still am absolutely devistated, not only because of the time and effort and art i put into it myself, but all the artwork and time everyone else has spent on it. Someone out there HAS my journal. IM SO NOT HAPPY... and then apparently the other one was posted home to me over 2 weeks ago form within Australia... and guess what.......... IT GONE FREAKING WALKIES TOOO!! im really really pissed, i so hope it turns up.

i know i definitely wont see one of them again, but if there is someone up there looking out for me....PLEEEEEEEEEEease please please, help my other journal find its way home....

Needless to say, i will no longer be partisipating in any more Round Robin's !!!! (insert really really sad face here)

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens..................... hello there while "spring cleaning" my computer and hard drive, i can across a folder that i had titled my favorite things, obviously i had made it for a future blog post and then forgotten about, so i will share it today...

this is a doodle stitched dotee heart.. i think i made it for a swap- or maybe it was just for someone that wanted one, or tagged me for it, i really dont remember, but i do love it.

two stuffies i made for examples for a kids class i taught at threads and more i especially love the car, funny though a lot of kids make the donut, but i have never had a child in my class make the car!!, maybe i need a little campervan to attatch to the back...... thinking thinking thinking!

my chevron scarf hand knitted with lots of love, not by me but by one of the knitters at work.. i did choose the colours and start to knit it, but the pattern overwhelmed me and the gorgeous Maree finished it for me! hooty!!, hooty was made for a swap on swap-bot that i hosted, he now resides interstate with a wonderful lady named Kerri.

this one went into my etsy store and

sold pretty quickly!

ahhh.. rainbows, i love a good rainbow... i love rain, i love the cold.. this was taken from my craft room window... it was a stinking hot day!

my dotee tree, these are the dotees dolls i have received over the years, i have enough now to fill a second tree. I dont have that tree/branch/dead stick any more it was full of bora's and it had to be burnt, all my dotees are now sitting in a box waiting to make their way to their new home.....

OWLWYN!!!!, my recycled owl, this is one of my creations that i HAVE kept, he is an upcycled knitted mens fairisle jumper from a thrift shop, that i machine shrunk (yes on purpose), and cut up to make this little fellow. Actually when i purchased the jumper for i think about $4.00 the sales assistant asked me if i had someone special to give the jumper to, i told her i was going to shrink it and cut it up... she was flabbergasted@! ahh, too funny, i can still see her face!

and lastly my favorite shelf at home in my craft room, well actually it doesnt look like that anymore, its much fuller and now expands to 3 shelves, i just can pick a few favorites from all the lovelies i have been sent in swaps over the years.....

well im off to make a picture mosaic (my first attempt at the computer mosaic) of some of the dotees i have made, i try to photograph as many as i can, i receive plenty of these pint sized beauties, but do not own one single dotee i have made myself....

SHOW AND TELL

hi... hows it going in cyber world, mine is non existent at the moment, doing a little stitching, and a little machining, but thats it really! pshycing myself up for the festive season.. i have a little to show you today, a little of my "at the moment" loves,

a doodle stitchery pin cushion, this was for a swap-bot, swap challenge i hosted, to doodle a sketch then stitch your sketch on a pin cushion, i love stitchery and i loved making this little angel of the sea... she was posted off to my swap partner in the U.S.A, and she absolutely adored it. an autumn themed mini art quilt, it is 8x8 inches big, and i stitched, beeded and embellished it all by hand in the car from Brisbane to Sydney.. (twisty corners, bumpy roadworks an all). I love how it turned out, and it now belongs to Nikki, and i know she loves and appreciates it.

this mini art quilt was such a joy to create, i havent scrapbooked in a few years, not since i got hooked on the needle and thread again!, but this has made me a-l-m-o-s-t want to pick up some paper, double sided tape and scissors!! I wanted to create basically a fabric scrapbooking page, and i just loved every second of it. the photo was printed straight on to calico, and using some beautiful fabrics, vintage lace, crochet flowers and ric rac, i was stoked with the end result...

edited to add.... this quiltie was seen by someone on flickr and is now being published in an upcoming issue of a U.S.A mag!! wooooo hooooo...

and last by no means least,

Hiya!, i have been a busy bee..... ive been drawing, stitching, sewing, designing annnnnnd.. shopping... i have a few things to show you, not a lot though, most of it is in the bottom of the U.F.O (unfinished objects!) basket waiting to be done for christmas.... soo today we have.....

a few inchies, some fabric, some doodled with sharpie, some painted. these were for a swap. arr.... meet Bailey the OOAKie monster, he has gone off to live in Revesby NSW, adopted by a little boy there.

embroidered needle case, i doodled this pattern on paper first then stitched the design onto fabric before turning it into a needle case, this too has been "adopted", and i must admit, i didnt want to part with it, i may have to design another for myself. TWEEEEEEEEEEET!

ahh dont ya just love a take away coffee first thing in the morning, these are coffee cozies, the best invention in the world!! they literally take 12 minutes to make, and save your fingers too..

i made this doll a while ago, and she sat high and proud on my craft shelves waiting for me to decide what i wanted to do with her, i really wanted to keep her, but you know me, i dont keep ANYTHING i make!, so i send her off to my beautiful niece Amelia Rose, where she now sits proudly on her shelves! ( i do miss her though)....

and this little teapot sweetie, i originally made it to use in my craft room, so many pins and not enough pin cushions... but yet again, it found an admirer, and YES i handed it over! when will i learn to say NO! lol!

i am looking into "dancing" (saying that lightly) avenues for Miss A, yesterday again she bought up the subject of going to dancing again... so i did a bit of reaserch and found a few place that will take a nearly 3 year old. then in Miss A's kindy pouch this morning there were 2 flyers 1 for Kinda dance and 1 for physi kids, has anyone out there had their children in either of these programs, i would love to hear what you think... please drop me a comment, i'd love to know.. thinking thinking thinking..................thanks for reading........ Play doh....

In our house besides painting (daily) Miss Angel/Monsters and my next (for the mean time) favorite thing to do is play with play doh.. usually she will smoosh it all up, hand it to me and say "look mummy, its a monster"... then ask me to make her 5 thousand other things... but the other day she asked for the play doh box, went outside to the table, and played for a while... these are what she created...

I love them all... they had to stay like this for daddy to see, needless to say the doh dried out, and it had to be thrown away.. but she was proud of her creations...

Yesterday a Wonderful Girlfriend gave me a nice easy recipe for home made doh, so we will be creating again real soon.. I will share Carol's Doh recipe with you......

2 cups plain flour

1 cup salt

4 teasp cream of tartar

2 cups water

tablsp oil

food colouring.

mix food colouring, oil and water in a saucepan and stir in dry ingredients

cook over medium heat for approx 5 min, stirring constantly

mixture will be thick and as it cooks it will come away from the pot and stick together in a ball.

Carol then added to this...."i made this heaps and heaps when mine were little cute children", now they are not so cute teenagers.. - that was my favorite part in the recipe!

Journals Journals Journals

I have Journals coming out of my ears at the moment... thank goodness i love doing them.. for those of you that don't know, i partisipate in what you call a Round Robin circle Journal swap.

What this entails is that you start an art journal, with stories, artwork, drawings, doodles, anything that takes your fancy, you do a few pages in your own journal, then send it on to someone else, in the mean time you receive someone elses journal and add to theirs, and then you send it of again.. This happens for months and months, and when you finally get your journal back, it is filled with the most amazing snippets of other peoples lives, art, and creativity. I adored the first one i received back, and i have 3 more floating around the hemisphere at this very moment. i will share a few of the pages with you.

Hi Everyone, - to all not here, this post is for you, for those that are here and for my blog followers.... sorry this is going to bore you to tears!

Yes it has been a while since i posted on my blog!!! SORRY!!! here is the CATCH UP ISSUE FOR YOU ALL. Since my last post i have become an Aunty! A REAL aunty, well i am a real Aunty to many of my husbands siblings childrens, but this is the first time i have become an Auny to MY Siblings first Child. My Dear Brother and his gorgeous Pink loving Wife had a baby girl, and she is adorable. Please meet Amelia Rose. (excuse granny's mouth in the left hand corner!!)

She is as sweet as pie, and a very good girl for her mummy and daddy... (as well as being a pork chop!) Aunty Niss loves you button!

My little Miss Angel/Monster ... well she is just growing fast and her little personality is cracking me up constantly, she come out with the funniest things.. At the moment she has changed her name to Doctor Mary, or Unicorn.. she is NOT Abby! "Dr Mary" has been a busy bee at kindy, and she is loving it, FINALLY... She has a great bunch of girls that care for her, and they love her very much. Miss A has become fixated on dancing, she wants to do ballet, (dancing with Hi 5 or the Wiggles doesn't cut it anymore!), so i guess that will be her next big adventure... getting into a tutu!

Master BJ is plodding along at school nicely, all the struggles from the begining of the year seem to have evaporated and he is doing well, he starts the Arts/Music extention program early next year and is excited to be given the opportunity to further his studies externally as well as continuing with his normal studies at school. Year 10 will be a big one for him! He is just about to sit the grade 9 exams and has assured me he is ready! (we will wait and see!!)

My dear Hubby is working hard.. as usual, lots of wedding, functions and club commitments (not to mention the pub and golf) are keeping him running, and away from home for most of our "awake" time.. we are starting to forget what he looks like!!! (Bring on Xmas).

As for me... BORING!! Work has been quite busy for this time of year, thanks to the avid knitters who will still knit in summer... WE LOVE YOU! there are lost of classes and knit-a-longs happening at the moment, so its keeping me on my toes, let alone employed!

today was the 2009 Brisbane Billycart Championships a race for Glory for the people of Brisbane!! It was a chance to strap on the speed goggles and a helmet and race down the grassy hills at Carindale for the crown jewel. Several races took place over the day with prizes for fastest billy cart, most imaginative design, best dress team, as well as winners in age categories.

well my dear son decided this year he was going to enter.....

and guess what????

so in BJ's words......

i races in the first heat, and whipped this guys butt.. so i made it into the second heat.. it was pretty close, but i yeah.. beat him too..., so i had to race again in a third race, and won that too, So that meant i made it to the semi's, well i won that race, and then had to race this bigger dude in the finals.. but hey... i beat him..!!!

i have to add... straight after he went over the finish line his left wheel fell off!!!

YES he won the 2009 billy cart championships!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago we went down to NSW to visit Jason family to spend some time with them, we only usually go at Christmas, But my Dear hubby has so much holiday time up his sleeve, that i booked us tickets and said we are going.......... And it was friggin freezing!!! I had been promising my S-I-L (well she isnt yet, but she may as well be) a Dotee doll for over a year now, so I thought, well i will make it and take it down. I hadn't made one of these little beauties in a while, so once i finished her, i thought well its one of Jason Nieces birthday while were down there so i will make her one too... So i did, and then i couldnt stop i was on a roll!!!! So all 5 of Jasons nieces and his 2 S-I-L's got one....

Now i want to go and make 3 more, one for each of Jasons 2 sisters, and an extra special one for his Mum... so stay tuned more coming soon... now i have the Dotee bug again...

Well since you asked, its both, Master B is heading on his first ever trip to the snow with school, and you know what teenage boys are like.... the kookier and crazier their ski gear the better/cooler they look!!!! ... so between the both of us we came up with this "creation".

It is a knitted ski headband, and YES knitted hair... I had such fun creating this, i giggled every time i picked up my knitting needles... For you all that dont know my son he has very thick, wavey, short, blonde hair, so to see him in this beanie... well its hilarious! And he just LOVES it.... now to work on the next one.

Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer

Last Sunday my work place Threads and More hosted an "Australia's biggest morning tea" for the cancer council. If you haven't heard of this before, it is a morning tea to raise money for cancer research and cancer treatment. We thought we would make it a "small" cosy occasion with just a few customers and special friends, and have a little in house tea cosy competition.... Well.... it turned into an amazing event... it started with the local paper getting wind of it, and they gave a small write up in that weeks edition. Then the Radio station heard about it, which ended in Lynda, our fearless leader doing an interview , from that a Very Very generous magician phoned and asked if he could volunteer his services for the day. And as for the tea cosy competition we ended up having about 26 entries... They were all totally different and amazing in their own way. A couple of the highlights were a cosy that was approx 100 years old, A breast cancer boobie with a pierced nipple, a punk cosy featuring a skull, pins and chains, and a farm garden complete with little knitted horse poop bags! I loved them all. The Judge had quite a hard time deciding on winners, but unfortunately their could only be one no no - make that seven winners !!! The newspaper was there again, doing a round up story about the morning tea, and taking many many many pikkies! The magician wandered around totally entertaining the 40 odd people that had all come for the morning, good food was served and many $$$$ were raised... So well done Threads and More, well done!

and im sure your asking, well did you enter anything????? OF COURSE I DID!!!!! This is Lizzie, if you cant tell, she is a cow....

I did my first drop

There is a wonderful group called The Toy Society that has helped people like myself be able to bring love and smiles into the world.. do check out what they do, and what they encourage us all to do.. so wanna see what i dropped... meet HOOTIE

I dropped her at the local DFO, on a chair, and within 3 minutes she was gone, and on her way to a new home, with her addoptive family!!! i cant wait to do my next one

where do i get my inspiration?????

well........ im a huge craft book collector, blog surfer, and site visitor, and have some amazing friends (and relatives) that if they see something they think i would enjoy seeing, they send me the link..... but what i usually do is look at them, read them, admire them, and then forget them, and make up my own. i would have to say my biggest inspiration, and critics for that matter are my kids, they are brutally honest, if i make a doll or toy and Miss angel/monster runs off with it... i know its a winner, if she looks at it, turns and walks away........i can it!!!! the same with master B, he will either say its awesome!!!, in which case i go with it, if he tries to say, wellllll, um, its,... in the trash it goes.... and that is how i work!!! Its not just with my toys/stuffies, its with everything, drawings, jewellery, everything i make, if its no o.k.ed by the kids, its not good enought to sell or make again! and that seems to work for me.

as i said earlier i do have a "smallish".. ok "largish" collection of books, i have taken some pics of my all time favorites for you. Now with these book, i have to admit, i have read them thousands and thousands of times, but, i have never made anything out of any of them!! i just cant bring myself to do it! i dont know why, it just doesnt feel right!.... which i guess is why a make my own stuff up. accept the cupcake book that is, i will make alllllllllllll of them ....eventually....

so above we have CUPCAKES by Susanna Tee, there isnt a huge selection of cupcakes in there but they are all the ones you need...everything from family favorites, afternoon tea's, sticky cupcakes, and party cupcakes... what more do you need really.

and my "at the moment" favorite to read is SUBLIME STITCHING by Jenny Hart this book, has some amazing stitchery projects and patterns, and is written in 101 terms, so easy to follow, and even gave me the occasional giggle!

we all know and love MORE SOFTIES by a team of talented crafters including Sandra Monat, Louise Hatchard, Elisa Lataster, and Carly Schwerdt to name just a few, its a great little book full of softie inspiration, patterns, how too's and little stories about every little character these fabulous designers create!

This cute little book, called the cute book by Aranzi Aronzo, is a little book with lots of felt mascots to create, reading this book made me giggle a little, because i presume it was originally published in Japan and when translated, it just didnt seem to come out.. ( if i am wrong and someone knows which language it was originally in, please let me know!), its a classic!

and Invasion of the plush monsters by Veronika Alice Genter, now this book.. i got them to order it in at work for me, because with a title like that, it must be an awesome book, well.... i have to say i was very dissapointed with it, but bought it anyway, to show me what NOT to create!!!!

the 3 above Felting and wool magic by Jorie johnson, Felted Bags, boots and other things by Cendrine Armani, and Warm fuzzies by Betz White are all book i love to refer back to constantly for little tips on making cord etc etc, they have great little tit bits in them! these 4 books above Home Sweet Home by Jane Cumberbatch, Crafts for baby by Alison Jenkins (and before you ask... NO i am not pregnant!!!!!), Sew Pretty Homestyle by Tone Finnanger, and Embroidered Bags and Purses by Susan O'Connor, are all simply gorgeous books full of patterns and inspiration for anything from bags, rugs, quilting, stitchers, cushions, even vintage clothing, they are the sweetest books ever!!!!

Judith Parker Montano who is the author of ELEGANT STITCHES and FLORAL STITCHES is one amazing woman, i would love to sit and have a cuppa and a chat about all things stitchy with this lady, her work is incredible, and every time i turn the page i am in awe of the work she puts into her pieces.. I am and have been working on a crazy quilt for quite a long time, and im sure i will still be working on it into my 50's!!! When i open her books, i can help but get it all out again, and start another block!

The Well Knit home by Gina Macris is just that, an assortment of knitting projects for the home, anything from dish cloths, to incredible owl cabled rugs. its a great book.

and last but not least of my favorite craft books are these 4 . Weardowney Knit Courture by Henry Conway and Gail Downey its a magic collection of amazing knits to wear, i would NEVER in my wildest dreams attempt anything in this book, but the photography, all stunningly done, and the weras are to die for!!!! Last Minute Knitted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson is a book that will become a classic, it has gicts to make all withih=n time limits... if you have 2hr, then there is something to knit in that time, if you have a month, then there is a projest in there for that too. FELT by Robyn Steel-Stickland is one of the best little felting books i have read, the other i do not own...YET..... but will soon! it is full of projects to make your mouth water, from textured arty cushions, to grid curtains, this is a book, that i need to have around me all the time, it shown amazing techniques with easy instructions. And KNIT SPEAK by Andrea Berman Price to me she is a legend, for all the time i have been knitting, i have never been able to read a pattern, or what the abbreviations stand for anyway... and with this cute little pink book by my side, i have even attempted Intarsia!!!! thanks for reading........ and maybe i will adda few more of my books next time..............Ax

a bit to share today

i was only going to do a small post to tell a few who were interested about where i get my inspiration from today.......but before i do that i really need to share something.

Today Miss Angel/Monster and i went to the Brookfield Show.... lots of dirt and dust, horses, the odd ride, pig races..you getting the idea, a good ole country show!. Anyway the shop i work for Threads and More had put together a basket of goodies for first prize in a raffle, and they asked if my rug that was made for Abby could be sent in as a bit of a show and tell (to kinda get people to visit the shop), so of course i agreed, the more customers we have the longer i keep my job !!!! this is the rug below....

now i love this rug more than anything in the world as does Miss A.... so while we were at the show we though we would go and visit it, and take a picture of it up on display... being the proud crafter i am!!!!!, so imagine my disbelief when i walk into the handmade/craft hall and i see this..

on display with a ribbon and certificate attatched..WTF!!!!, so i ring work and say there has been a mistake and they entered my rug in the comp instead of just having it on display!!!! to which they reply, umm no, we entered it for you ..... well i was blown away.... i was extatic to have it displayed at the show, but to win a prize.... ahh, i will be humble.. (that is as soon as i come of cloud nine!!!!!!)

and a little pic of miss A playing her fist ever sideshow alley game..... as you can see, she was a little too short and the ball never made it into the clowns mouth once... mummy had to drop it when she said drop..... and for our efforts we won some blowing bubbles with a blower that was too big to fit in the bottle...... ahh well, we had fun..

now i have been working on designing a few little house embroiderys for a quilt im working on, i kinda like these ones the best.

i still have to embroider the welcome sign and the little birdy on this one below.

not alot really, with mothering duties, new owners at work, and Round robin journals coming out of my ears, there isnt many hours left in the day, but there is a little bit to show you... so here it is.. i have been making a few new bracelets for my etsy store the first 3 are charm style bracelets

i have recently been involved in a couple of Round Robin Journals, a round robin journal is an art journal that travels the globe, and the recipients "do their thing" to it, whether it be draw, journal, write stories, poetry, doodle, anything really that takes their fancy. I love the days the postman brings me a new one to contribute too.... So far i have put my pen(s) to around 15 peoples journals, and i am just loving it. I have recently received my first one back completed, and i just adore it!! the different styles of art, writing and creativity all round in it just blows my mind. I cant help but pick it up, every time i walk past it, to discover something new.

I will share with you over the next few weeks some of the pages that are in my journal, but today i am show and telling (the ones i remembered to photograph anyway), you the pages that i contributed to other journals, but before i do that here is the cover of my first journal that i just received back...

i have another journal doing the rounds at the moment, with this one, i made the cover with felt, totally inspired by a beautiful person named Lauren Rhodes... i was at a scrapping day, and she had made a beautiful journal cover out of felt, i fell in love with it. So i made myself one... owl themed...of course!!!!

my title page... this one is going around quite quickly, so i hopefully will have it back around August sometime....

and the journal below is about to set sail on its journey next week, this time i made it from fabric, and i do quite like it (no owls this time), just a little birdie!!! thanks for reading, and looking, ................Ax

well hello !!! i have finally moved house, and we have settled (temporarily!!!!!!) well, we couldnt find anything to buy in the 3 weeks that we had, so yes.... we are renting for 6 months, what a pain in the butt, having to move everything all over again!. So now we are house hunting all over again, it just drives me absolutely nuts!! i have finally set up my ETSY store...(look over to the right and scroll down a bit, you will see the link), but i will put it here too in case your finger is too sore to scroll that mouse. www.abbysgarden.etsy.com , its been up about 2 weeks now, and i have had 6 sales, so i am pretty stoked!! On the creative side of things....... NIL, ZIP, ZERO, i have nothing to show you!!! Yes i hear you all gasping, not a thing! AAAAHHHHHHGGGHHHH, i am having withdrawals, but i have been too busy uploading things to the new etsy shop. I did however pack the kiddlet up and head over to a GF's house to do some crafting on Saturday, i actually sat and made a cat dotee, i know nothing to exciting, but hey, its something... toodles for now, Ax

Hiya, i posted a little down the page how master b was going back to football, and we were all excited about it. .......well...... he isnt! His tall scrawny, lanky frame of a body is just not up to it, to many injuries over the last few years with other sports/skateboarding etc etc, and i think more to the fact that once you hit the under 14's level of footy, they are pretty big buggers, and if your not feeling up to it, and your hearts not in it, ITS GUNNA HURT when one hits you to the ground~! So, he has been advised to stay away from footy, and try a sport with no contact... hmm now there is always ping pong i guess!

another project i have to complete! UFO"S everywhere

while packing up I found a few UFO's (unfinished objects), but this one i really should finish. I started a scraps quilt about a month ago, i gathered all my scraps, bits and pieces and cut them into strips, to make a single bed strip quilt for the angel/monster... but... i had so many scraps (don't tell anyone), I just kept sewing and it kept growing, the top 2 were my first 2 squares, and i got sort of.. well ... addicted to sewing them together and with in 3 days i had created a monster! (and i haven't touched it since, im actually a little scared and overwhelmed by the size of it) It will now fit on our king size bed!. I have the middle strip fabric and the border and back fabric, i even have the cotton bamboo filling to go in, i just have to put the whole thing together then try and tackle quilting it!, I think i will have if professionally done, I don't think there is any way i can manoeuvre something that big around my singer sewing machine!

soon....soon..

And then there is this gorgeous bag of bamboo cotton i bought, a bargain a ball at just $1.00 each, i had all the intentions of knitting a cute bright cushion for the lounge, but, it never got done!, so now i have handed it on to my mum, hopefully when it is all knitted she will give it back! ... ah one can hope!

Hi everyone, yeah, i know, i know i am a slack blogger, but i have had nothing to say or show! School is back "YAAH" and my little boy is a big grade 9er! scarey stuff. and my little angel started a new day care 2 days a week, and she is a little more relaxed at this one! (not so highly strung when we drop her off). As we all know we had a "break" from footy last year (which i missed dreadfully but dont tell him!), but i have just been told by Master B that he wants to play again this year, and not the nice and handy local one that is in the next street, two seconds away from home, NOOOO, he wants to play for the one he use to play for which is 1/2 an hour drive away for practise twice a week, and sometimes over an hour to get to a game.... sigh... at least he is faithful, now i just have to find our when sign ups are!! (and i have to admit, i cant wait to go!) I am taking a break from all things crafty at the moment, im kinda psyching myself up enough to put it allllllll, (and there is lots!) in boxes! As we are on the move, you see the house we have been living in for many years has been on the market and finally sold on the weekend. :(. So now we are doing the house hunting thing!! and i dont enjoy it at all!! I wish there was someone you could hire to find you a house to buy, you know, sort of like a realestate agent that works for the buyer not the seller, where you could just sit on your butt until you get a call saying, "hey we found you a house, its just perfect. 4 bedrooms, 2 bath rooms, double remote lock up garage on a 900 square meter block, at the end of a culdisac, its has so much personality, and you will love it" where i would respond with "cool, does it have a craft room" and he/she would reply with "sure it does, and its huge, with a full wall of storage, its painted tiffany box blue with white washed floors and you will love it" and "it has the most gorgeous landscaped gardens with a pool, and lots of room for the kids to run around, a full gourmet kitchen (for hubby, though i better add something for him), and the best part its under $400,000.. aahhh, now to stop dreaming, as i have a 3 bedroom dump to go look at! (just leaving you with a few pic of my dream room!) dream dream dream...... talk soon .................................Ax

i hope you all had a wonderful wonderful xmas, i unfortunately can not share a xmas photo of the kids this year, as....well......um..... this is the best i got!!! a have a carema with over 140 pic very similar or worse than this!! no matter what i tried, bribery, threats, promises, it just didnt happen!! So you will have to pretend they are being well behaved children, sitting together nicely, smiling happily at the camera! We went to Sydney for the festive season this year and spent 10 day with Jasons family, it was nice to see every one, we had a very plesant time. During our visit we spent a little time with my family in Sydney and a little time with my family in the Hunter Valley, where we have almost come to that life changing situation i had been talking about earlier.... (yes i promise when it happens you will be the first to know!) We all know how wonderful it is to vist family and friends, but its great to get home and back into your own bed!! Alas the chrissy lights are down, but the tree still stands pride of place in the dining room, and the chrissy cards are still scattered hanging over every picture frame that adornes the walls..... yes, yes i will eventually get to it, and get them down!!!! just not this weekend! maybe wednesday! on the swapping side of things xmas is always a quiet time of year, so not alot to show! (and i haven't taken pics of them any way, i will take some and get back to you with them! Mr and Mrs Pink (Little Bro and S-I-L) are in Paris ATM, celebrating Mrs pink's 30th birthday, they spent the night of her birthday at the top of the Eiffel Tower having a luxurious dinner, and new years under the eiffel tower watching the fireworks.....ahh some people have the life dont they! (not that i am extremely jealous or greeeeen with envy, noooo, not me (bastards)!!!!!!) where has the time gone...? does time go faster when we get older...? it feels like it, Little miss A sure makes the time enjoyable non the less!! Miss A is the sweetest, funniest, most adorable Child you will ever come across, with a mind of her own (literally), a love of clothes, (6 clothes changes just during her party last night!) Quoting my brother with regards to the changing of dresses "its like being at a Kylie Minogue concert" !!! lol, Her infatuation with dolls, tea parties, bangles, and Shoes (eek her daddy is scared, of the bills he is going to get when she is older!!) she is a really girly girl!! She brings so much Joy to our lives, she our wonderful Angel/Monster!!

Hi everyone, i know i haven posted in a while and im sorry!, well since i last was here i have had a pretty busy time, we have had the craft show on in Brisbane, its always amazing to see other peoples work, interpretations, and stock!.....BUT unfortunately i didn't have a chance at all to see any of it.. it was all just work work work for me, which is unfortunate because this is the first time i really wanted to look around at the quilts, fabric etc. I usually only go for the paper crafts but since i have now made 2 quilts of my own, i was interested this rear!! Bummer!! last Saturday i caught up with a few of the girls from swap-bot for a morning tea, which turned into lunch!! it was great to see them all again, and i cant wait for next month to do it all again. And than that afternoon i caught up with the Scrapbook City girls at Ronnies house for a Kazzaz party, as usual lots of good fun, friends, and laughs oh and a little scrapping. i miss you girls!! on the family front, Master B is going through a "dark" stage.. dark clothes, flat hair, grunting instead of talking!! teenage years, i hope they go away soon.. on a higher note for him, he has been asked to play the guitar and sing for the school (solo) and he is excited, gee im sure if my principle asked me to do that when i was at school i would have crapped myself!!, and my Angel/Monster, Miss A, is the funniest, cheekiest child i have ever met, she keeps me in stitches all day, she has just learned to say LOVE, so everything is love at the moment, yesterday she chewed up a texta and i mean chewed!! the little foamy tube in the texta that holds the colour was sucked to white!! so i told her that was naughty and to sit down for 1 minute with her hands in her lap (so she wouldn't grab another texta), and the whole time she had her lip dropped saying "but LOVE mummy, but LOVE"! how can you handle this, all i wanted to do was hand her the whole packet of textas... crafty me time, i was asked by one of the girls on swap bot to participate in a xmas button fairy swap, i had never seen a button fairy let alone made a button fairy! so i did some reaserch and said sure! so this is what i came up with - and OMG they are more addictive than Dotee dolls!! and as you can see below, i kept going and going and going and going!! i just cant seem to stop, they dont take that long to make, and are easy peasy!! most of the time is spent embellishing the wings and face, the tails take literally seconds!! thanks for reading..........................Ax

i chopped my hair off and dyed it orange!! I got home from work on Thursday night, and looked in the mirror and you know what looked back at me.... someone who i didnt know, with sholder length brown hair.... looking dowdy and yik!, so i fixed the problem, i got the scissors , and the hair dye out and went to town!! for those of you who are new to my blog, and there are quite a few from the world of 'swap-bot' (thankyou for subscribing to my blog by the way!!) yes i am an ex (used lightly) hairdresser!, and i feel much better about ME now!!

as i promised in a previous post, me letting the kids paint the sliding doors!! they just love it, they think they are being... "naughty!!"

a bit of charcol work on this page!! i have been making an album for a gorgeous friend of mine Kathleen, and it is the first time i have scrapbooked in a very long time, and i have to say, i totally enjoyed it. They are not the kind of pages i would usually do, i guess that is because they are not my photos, so i am being a little "calmer" than usual with the pages!

Brioney... pictured centre (she is the one in the black!) headed off to Greece this week, and asked me last Sunday to make her a spongebob to take overseas with her, so by the time of close trading that day i had whipped this little fellow up out of felt, she just loved it!!, (and he loved it in the cookie jar!!). o.k. enough from me now, tata..........................Ax

alot.. it is school holidays and i have my kids felting/beading/embroidery classes on again, i really love working with the kids, i learn so much from there young creative minds!, we have all new summer stock in the shop, so have been busy getting that out, and re arranging the shop,.....(piks to come!) we got a bubble machine!~ i dont know who enjoys in more, little Miss Angel/Monster, Master B, or myself Master B getting some air, in the backyard! this week has been sucky on the electronics side of things, the computer decided to "fall ill", so off to the doctors it went, they suggested to put it to rest, as it had a good life and was very "tired"!! pffffft i said its not even 12 months old!!, so needless to say 4 days with out a puter, i was climbing the walls, so we had to get another tower, everything else was fine! then the car... stupid stupid car!!, it needed a new hoovit, and a doobie that connected to the whatsit with the rubbery thing, so we replaced that, and then guess what..... yep the very next day, the stupid stupid car broke down.. in the middle of the road, with Miss Angel/Monster in the car, stinking hot day, without my mobile... grrrrr, luckily a nice lady gave me her mobile, and we called the ever so faithfull RACQ, and they tell me that the hoovit/doobie i just replaced needs replacing, i burst into hysterical laughter, as i see my stupid stupid car being towed away, leaving Miss Angel/Monster and I standing on the side of the road, Ahh, to cut this story short, it was a different doobie/whatsit that needed replacing and lots off $$$$$ later, we are mobile again! THEN... i get home from work today, played with the kids a while (we painted the sliding glass doors with green paint..hehe) (another pik to come) and the phone rings, and its my Aunty S who is staying at my parents house at the moment while they are OS, saying... "I have lights, but no power points... I SWEAR IN MY NEXT LIFE I AM GOING TO BE AN ELECTRICIAN/MECHANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well thats about it for now, talk soon.................................Ax

ekka, and other stuff!!

Well, where to start today, ok, the ekka, every year in Brisbane we have the "ekka" its the exhibition,... show bags, rides, displays, food, food, food, animals, etc, etc, this year Master B and the concert band played, they were excellent, they palyed music from Grease, Loony Toons, Pink Floyd, Queen, they were incredible

yes that is him puffing on the tuba!.. so while we were there, and because i havent been to the ekka in years we though we would look around, and i have to say side show alley hasn't change much at all, the rides may be faster, and brighter, but they are still the same faithful rides as always.!! but i have to say, the poor clowns, you no the ones where that heads turn and you push the tiny dinged up pingpong balls down ther gob till in falls into a number, then you win the tacky bouncy headbands or the blue lion that you hand somewhere around your house till you throw it out a week later, well the poor things could do with a tad of oil and maybe a new "makeup" job, heres a couple of pictures i took, i no i am no flash photographer, but i was pretty happy with some of my photos!

Hiya, i have got a few pictures of what i have been making lately, not really alot to show, i have been doing extra hours at work so i haven't had a lot of time to do much, Miss A is going through a "i want mummy all the time" stage at the moment too, so i have been spending lots of quality time with my angel doing mummy/ daughter things and it has been so much fun!! She is at that age now where she will have this huge conversation with you, and enjoys dress ups, balls and books!! i think we must read at least 20 books a day. She is also becoming quite a fine singer and dancer..lol.. she is hilarious! She only knowss every third or forth word in the wiggles songs but the ones she knows she sings LOUD!! and she knows ALL the actions! i just love watching her! Master B is still doing well at school, Im quite proud of him. He is having lot of band rehersals at the moment, getting ready for the ekka (Brisbane show) they are performing there and he is looking forward to it, as am i going to see him, i haven't been to the ekka in YEARS!! well thats it for the family update.. heres what i've been up to .. in the last week i have attended two felting courses, one for new techniques where i made a stunning fine felted and embellished wrap, but i havent got any pictures of it as my mum has already claimed it as hers!, and then the other one was for advanced moulding. I made a hat and bag, and i am really happy with how they turned out.

and i whipped up these 2 scarves for friends, they dont know they are getting them yet, so i cant say who there for! this little birdie bellow is a pin cushion that flew its way to finland. I made the felt then embroidered it.

a circular dotee on its was to the USA and this is a mummy and baby dotee that i made to angel terri (teeyore) she didn't receive hers from her assigned person!!! (i hope she got them as i haven't heard!) and another pin cushion with altered pins this time, i just loved making this, and think i have another new addiction! (again i made the felt)

so this weeks chit chat i will start of with what i have received over the last week, as i said there is lots and lots and lots to show you. i have been very spoiled, by many many people, but i have to say Kathleen aka wrgmama, you are the most generous caring wonderful person i have ever ever ever had anything to do with , your generosity and love for others has amazed me in more ways than one! Kathleen made Miss A this absolutely amazing i spy quilt , (for those that dont know what an i spy quilt is, it is a quilt designed for children to find things, to learn words, colours, shapes etc) it is filled with the most wondeful fabric ever and you can tell just by holding it it was put together with so much thought and love for my little girl.. it contains all the things that miss A loves the most (she especially loves the nanas!, that would be bananas)

it has strawberries, pretzels, apples, babanas, russian dolls, bob the builder, mms, dogs, cats, guitars, spots, pigs, birds, koalas, butterflies, bugs, dozers, instruments, tigers and lions, boats and planes, guitars, presents, dolls, dancing pigs, zebras, fish, watermelon, different colours and patterns... you name it its on there ..it is adorable...

for the animal dotee swap (in case you cant tell, its a pig!) my 2 newest stuffies Kristen and Justin another butterfly dotee, this one was by request, for a lovely lady in the US who lost a loved one they called Butterfly, she saw the other one i made and asked for one to be done in purple. I heard she arrived yesterday with a bent wing.... and she is going to leave it bend to show she flew a long way, all the way from Australia... how cool!

80's dotee wyatt the cowboy dotee, for a little boy names wyatt! and Kathleen the summer garden dotee. o.k. now that show and tell is out of the way, its time for news.... Miss A is finally settling into daycare she only cries when i drop her off now not all day like she use to! her carers say she is happy once she stops crying, she partisipates in everything, and loves to play with the other kids, but she is still more interested in handing out with the carers, they say she helps them put out the food, and prepare things for the craft table... maybe she will be like her beautiful mummy and crafty who knows.... could send me broke, having 2 in the house.. her speech is coming on well, talking the leg of an iron horse actually, no sentences yet, but lots of words, and understandable words at that, i think daycare is helping with that too.

Master B has just finished school holidays he had 2 days at rock band school, and thoroughly enjoyed himself, they all got to try instruments they had never tried before, and they say he has a natural talent for the drums...oh no... i say, he has enough instruments in his room, they said anything he picked up, he could play, they put on a concert at the end of each day when we picked them up, and i have to say.. wow, he played the electric drums for the first songs they played and he was awesome... he also sang some AC/DC - back in black, and played the bass guitar, which he also appatently picked up pretty naturally... and the electric guitar which he has been playing for a while.. they want to see him again, they think there is something there they would like him to follow on with... we alway said from birth he would be on stage for something!!

my school holiday classes were a huge hit, we had kids coming out of our ears, i ended up having two helpers... there was so many! The creations they made were incredible, i sure learnt alot from them as well! we are going to run them in the next holidays as well, we have already got people signed up, which is great! I havent done much scrapping, i was doing my entries for the masters, but with the 2 weeks of kids classes, being sick and having Miss A sick, and being postal dead line tomorrow, i dont think its going to happen, but there is still the for keeps awards to look forward too, maybe i will find some time now that Miss A is in care on fridays as well, never know!

hello everyone, how are you all today? ah thats good to hear. Yeah Im well to thanks, had a busy day actually, doing what you ask, i went to the papercraft convention today, and i have never seen so many people in one spot... it was so busy. I helped Ang with the friskas class, that was fun, and shopped a little..... yes i only bought bargains, and i stuck to my budget and didn't reach for the plastic money once! there is a pikkie bellow of my new 'stash' wow thats a lot of tape i hear you say, theres 8 rolls to be exact, it is my favorite tape and i can usually only get it from the shows, however last show i went to (may) there wasn't any there... so i had to stock up! and did you see the owl and birdie chip board shapes... they are too cute! I have a bit of an addiction to chipboard... that will be a new and long post on it own some other time... i might just have to photograph it all! and my latest dotee doll (below) if you cant use your imagination, its a ladybug!! Well you know Miss A started daycare last week, and she never even battered an eyelash when i left, well this week was a little different, she screamed from the minute i walked out the door, till her father picked her up 6 hrs later....i feel terrible, they said she may settle better if she had an extra day...as did mumfies tell me the same thing! So as of next week she will go two consecutive days, they swapped and changed a few other kids around to accommodate her, aint they good to us... we are putting her in on a day i don't work so i can stay a little while in the mornings and play with her and the other children together, leave for a little while then come back and get her..we are hoping that being there more, and getting use to it helps out the situation, bless her HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENNY - WE LUV YA BOODLE BUM well thats about it today, thanks for stopping bye.................................Ax

what happened this week

Not a lot really!!! My cousin Simone from Germany has notified us all that she is expecting....this is so exciting for her and "the man we call Hagrid"..lol..and we are all over the moon about it!!! She was here in January for a couple of months and we had a hoot, we all miss her and Brigitta terribly, and cant wait to go over for the christening...maybe even wedding bells will chime....hehe... (Simone are you reading this!!!!). the kids are doing well, Miss A started day care this week, she is only going one day a week, which i think is a good thing, i was so nervous for her, but as usual there was no reason to be, she just jumped right in and started playing with the play doh and all the other kids, there wasn't even a wave good bye, and as for tears there were none from her at all...however i sobbed all the way to work!!!! (and didnt take my makeup for a quick touch up) so i looked like i had been up all night!!! Master B is doing well at school, as some of you know he had a "rough" start but things have panned out, he is getting amazing grades in the top 10% of the year, and staying out of trouble! (yeehoo). i caught these shots of him over the weekend

i cant tell you the technical names for the "grooves he is pulling" in his words, they are something like" a half twist tripple deck ollie with a double flip turn grind, while gettin some air man"!!!!! wow i said in return, followed by PUT A BLOODY HELMET ON!! Gosh knows i cant speak that language!!!

We had an amazing embroidery class on at work this week, it would have to be the finest needlework i had ever seen in my life, Alison rocks!! Places are filling fast in my holiday classes which is a good thing, at least i know people like my work! either that or there is absolutely nothing else to do during the school holiays..lol.

Craft wise, i have been on a downer this week, just cant find the motivation, i have been working on a few items going overseas, and a chipboard Album i have been asked to do for the Scrapbook Convention being held over the Queens birthday long weekend at the convetion centre in Brisbane, im pretty excited about it, i have almost finished, it should be completed tonight to drop off tomorrow, just a few final touches to add, but i just dont know what those touches are yet!!! (scrappers block!). I cant post pictures of it yet, i will after the convention, but i can show you the other goodies i have been working on..

this is a dottee doll made for a Hula swap, im not sure where she is going yet, i will let you know! i beaded her bikini top, (if a little wonky) but she has personality plus!

this little music dotee is off to the US, the key board fabric i received from a gorgeous lady in the Netherlands, and i embroidered the little music notes on, im quite attatched to this one, and am having trouble letting her go, hence why she is still at my house, but she will be going on her big trip in the morning...sad, sad...

this little lady is off to a cat lover also in the US, you cant see it in the picture but there is a fish bone button on top of her head, i thought it appropriate!!

i just love this little angel, to me she is saying i am sweet, i am tranquill, she is only just over an inch big, she is a dotee to dote on!!ah one of my favorites i have received so far, she came to me from Holland from a wonderful lady named Marja (laplandyellow) she is just devine, as is Marja... Marja's english in her writing is pretty broken so this is what i could interperate from her card, the little story of this girl goes...she is sitting on the moon dreaming she will fill the world with flowers, delivering them one by one... (Marja i love the story, and the way you wrote it sounded like it came from your heart, like it was your dream....thankyou, i love her xxxxx)

and last but not least, i love the little face on this little girl, and the bead work is amazing, the photo does not do this little dotee justice!!!

SCHOOL HOLIDAY CLASSES AT THREADS & MORE

Looking for something different for you kids to do during the July school holidays , well how about bringing them to one of my classes at Threads & More, yep I will be teaching the kids classes this holidays... we will be doing something to challenge their creative juices. the days will run from 9.30 till 10.30 Wednesday 2nd July and Wednesday 9th July for 8-12 age group, and 9.30-12.30 Thursday 3rd July and Thursday 10th July for the 13+ age group... We will be felting a wall hanging, or a felted creation that can be used for an i-pod cover, purse or mobile phone pouch, anything the kids want to use it for really! Then embroidery, and beading, how about making their own bracelet, key ring, necklace whatever they like...the only requirements needed are imagination, creativity and enthusiasm!

(these are only examples, they may felt whatever they like on their wall hangings and pouches, in any colour they like!) classes are $65 and that includes tuition, instructions to take home, ALL materials and a yummy morning tea! So if your kids have ever wanted to try something new, or already may have the knowledge and want to extend it, or just want to have a day of fun with some new friends (away from siblings and mum!) just give Threads and More a call on 3379 6699 ...we would love to have them for the day! (we do have a cafe in our store, so parents are more than welcome to hang around and watch their children blossom into young artists!)

WHAT I'VE RECEIVED THIS WEEK

imagine a monday morning, you have had a rough night the night before as your kids are sick, so you havent slept much, your trying to get one "motivated" to get ready for school, while the other one is clinging to you leg saying "mummy, mummy up" while her arms are stretch and the little hands are pulling at the PJ top your wearing that the buttons are done up crooked, that doesn't match your pants, your hair is EVERYWHERE, you havent brushed it or your teeth yet, your socks are pulled up over your PJ pants, you've got PMT badly!!(are ya getting the picture) believe me it wasn't pretty), WHEN you get this knock at the door. I dont know what your first thought would be, but mine was AWE CRAP!! who the bloody hell is that!! So wingey babe in arms i open the door to probably the best looking delivery driver i have ever seen. holding a box.. well his reaction was, Oh sorry lady...this is for you, if you could just sign here....and he was up those stairs to his van quicker that a chook with his bum on fire!! (Yess, i did look that bad)!!so i get my parcel inside, and this is what i was greeted with well.... i immediately felt 100000% happier, (still looked like crap) but i was smiling...all this for little ole me! and inside was.... sweedish fish!!!! yay, woot woot, i was doing the happy dance around the kitchen..Mooselet, Mumfies and WTF if you were here i would have shared them....promise;), along with all these other goodies...

then Tuesday.....(looking much better, and at a more reasonable time) i get another delivery driver, (a different one) i think mondays driver saw the address on the package, and said to his co-worker, you go this time, im scared!!! and i got this....

a wonderful package of craft stuff!!....

and this package also came in the letter box that afternoon, full of all sorts!

this wonderful package of fabric from "fabric fanatic's" group came on wednesday.

and these too dotee dolls arrived during the week too!!

i am so lucky to be involved with a wonderful group of girls, some i know and some complete strangers, but we all think on the same wave length, and all have the same love of handcrafts, so until later................................................Ax

the forum girls, Ronnie, Carole, Ang, Deb, Jen, Meg, Me, Sue, Terri, Jo, Milly and lazing in the front is Sandra..........ROOM 20 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

and Friday night Dress ups, this years theme was Movie characters, so us room 20 girls went as Wizard of Oz, we had all the characters it was heaps of fun, and i have never laughed so hard...wer had tears rolling down our faces watching the slide show of the night on jen's puter!!! Yep that pretty little face in the middle with the ruby croc's is me!!!...yes they were croc's!!(don't know what Deb is doing with that Lolly pop, but hey each to there own!!!), Don't we all look fabulous!!!

Well now on to the real stuff, the retreat was fantastic, it just gets better each year, Leisa and Kerri from Scrapbook City do a fantastic job, the kits are top quality, and HUGE, extremely generous, the classes extremely inspirational, the food...OMG... you couldn't get much better, and that cow bell rings ALL THE TIME for meals, its just non stop eating. THE CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN......WOO HOO....Ronnie, i reckon you could have got your head in it if you tried!!! The company was awesome as usual, i have said it before and i will say it again, the forum girls, are just so much fun, ROOM 20 still rocks, if we get that room again next year.....maybe a trifecta!! I have never been in a room with 11 girls and had so much fun...but next time Im taking a watch so I dont scrap till 3.30am, then think S#@T we better get some sleep and end up back in our room chatting till 4.30am....I'm too bloody old for that!!!! especially when you wake the next morning to Ronnies face in yours telling you to GET UP!! P.S. Toto hates you!!!

I learnt lots, ate too much, laughed till my belly hurt (not good on a full tummy), chatted non stop ...(I know thats so not like me).. Sang a little...worked a little.....ate more..made many things i am quite proud of, and cant wait to do it all again next year.....Luv ya lots girlies................Ax

I am loving playing with the digital side of scrapbooking, but you still cant beat the feel of the real thing, the texture of products, paper, ribbon and so on ....

what have i been up to, well.. not a lot really, i am doing a 2 day class at the moment with the wonderful, charming and ever so talented Jen Griffin from Jen's Jem's - New Zealand. (i will post photos, when i take them tomorrow in class) we are doing thread painting, and i am LOVING it! Im sure i can somehow combine this with scrapping, and get the most wonderful pages...hmmm.... something to think about!

My annual retreat is in 5 sleeps..yay...can not wait to catch up with all the girls and don the fantastic costumes we have all been working on so hard...i can tell you what we are all going as just yet, as the computer has ears ...secret squirrel. but we will make an entrance thats for sure, you can organise so much with emails flying back and forth daily!!!! (for weeks mind you),

I am still loving my job, its like getting paid to enjoy myself ( i hope Danielle doesn't read this, she may stop paying me!!) I wish everyone could enjoy their job as much as i enjoy mine.

The kids are well, bubs is running me off my feet, my goodness i dont know where she finds the energy to go and go and go all day, with only a tiny 1/2 - 1hr sleep a day, but she does, and i am trying to keep up with her and loving every minute of the age she is at the moment, she is hilarious, and she has started stringing words together, which is even funnier, but we can understand what she is saying, and she sure as heck knows what she is saying!!!!! Master B is doing SO well at school, i got his report card in the mail over the holidays, and couldn't have wished for a nicer thing to see when i opened that envelope. He is enjoying his "SPAM" he is doing Golf, (right up his alley)!! DH is working really hard at the moment too.

Oh, i almost forgot, Mum and Dad (the empty nesters) have flown thr coop and moved to the Sunshine Coast!!! boo hoo, it is sad, but hey i thing i can cut the apron strings and let them fly a little!! (but just a little)....thanks for stopping bye.........................Ax

my girly girl layout was done for SCRAPBOOK CITY using there new accucut machine, the little bracket border, butterflies and flowers were all cut with this amazing tool!!

it is like a H-U-G-E sizzix machine, it takes a 12x12 die so it will cut any size, it will cut through paper, chip board, acrylic sheets, metal, foam, felt absolutely everything!!!! and more than one layer at a time!!!

He has come home today and told me that he has gotten the results for the last three test he did....and we have..... B+.......B+.....and an....A

VS hmmmm, hard question, they can be great together!! I definitely have a sweet tooth, love it all, but i like sweet that that doesn't coat the insides of your mouth...do you know what i mean, i dont particularly like the creamy bunns, the sickly cakes, for sure i will eat them, but not a lot, however i will eat chocolate and ice cream till the cows come home......as for savory, i dont like salty, so that sort of cuts a lot out, i will eat nuts, roasted and not salted, i love cheese but wont have it on a cracker, only on bread sticks etc.. wouldn't touch a chip....yik...but i love sausage rolls...as for saying before they can be great together, i love dried apricots with cheese, quince paste and bread stick, and dont mind my macadamias coated in honey...so i can't really answer this question....but if i had to i would take chocolate over chips any day!!!!..........................Ax

Then i joined a swap, and the first think they wanted to do was a dotee doll, so i jumped at the chance!!! So the adorble blue one (she is a mermaid) is going to Illanois USA and the pretty pink one is going to Cannon Hill QLD, i hope they like them!.............................. this weeks blog challenge WHATS IN YOUR HANDBAG........eeeek.... i dread to think today! O.K. in my handbag...today that is....(as each day is different), and at the end of the day is always different to the beginning of the day! KIDS!! i have my purse, a black bic ball point pen (dont know how that got there i never have a pen!), 3 pay slips, (no i dont usually hoard, they were given to me all stapled together), my trusty Rexona sport non aerosol deoderant, my house, car and shop keys, all seperate but attatched together by a macrame owl i made when i was in brownies when i was 8. (my mum found it just recently and was going to throw it out!!!) so i took it back! (i think that key ring was the beginning of my love for craft)...i still cant believe she was going to throw it out, it would almost be classed as antique now...hehehehe. My pink mobile phone, a lip gloss (nude in colour) $4.35 in loose change scrambled all around the bottom of my bag, a receipt to claim at medicare (oooh yes, play money, i forgot that receipt was there, will be visiting my local scrap shop with that money!), a dummy, no not for me!, a hair band and ribbon obviously pulled out by my angel during the day, a half eaten packet of sultanas !!!, and in the side pocket i found a pair on my angels socks.. so there you have it, thats what is in my bag today, tomorrow im sure will be totally different as will the next day..... so as Monday was LOVE day and i havent yet posted about that, i will continue on this theme and tell my LOVE for handbags! i hate shopping for clothes, and im not a huge shoe buyer, but i can not resist a hanbag if it takes my eye, I will buy!! I will not go out shopping for a handbag, but if i see one i like i just have to have it!, I think i love handbags because you never have to try them on, they will always "fit" you, they dont make your butt bulge, there never too tight around your thighs, or have pockets in the wrong spots to emphasise the bits you dont want emphasised, you can always find a colour to go with that "other" impulse buy you made that you will only wear once, they hold more in them than a pair of jeans!!! well this is my excuse anyway! i have millions (well millions is probably an exaduration) but i have lots and lots of handbags! too many to photograph, so today i am showing you my ones i use most often. (which just happen to be black, pink and cream) I photographed them all together once and you couldnt make anything out, it just looked like a blur of mixed colour, so i will later show you my other colours! Working next door to a handbag shop doesn't help either!! and the fact they stick there head into my shop door and say "we have stacks of cool new bags in today" !!! The papercraft expo was on over the weekend, and i have to say i was a little disapointed with the turnout of stalls and exhibitors this year, it was no where as big as usual! But there was the odd bargain or two to be had none the less!! I went with the intention of stocking up "cheaply" on odds and ends that you can't get at my local scrap shop scrapbook city, for the April Retreat,and as you can see below i certainly did achieve that! I even got an ATC back stamp which i was after for $5 which is a HUGE bargain usually around the $35 mark!!! so this was my "buy" of the day!

i will start with hip hip horay to My Uncle Daryl, who celebrated his big 50th and to my Cousin Thomas who just had his 21st, they had a huge combined party at the family property in the Hunter Valley, and unfortunately i was the only one not there!!! but as you can see by the photos a great night was had by all... it was a "come as an aussie icon party"....

aint he the sweetest looking bub.... they say he is an angel, sleeping like a dream, and has mummy and daddy wrapped around his little fingers all 10 of them!

No. 1 son has just had "Band camp" yes yes i know they all say it to him, and he just looks at them weird, and i tell him when he is a little older i will let him see American Pie, and he will know what they are talking about! he loved it, and is extremely excited to be the only grade 8 student asked to go in the band ever in the whole lifetime of the school! "let alone being on camp with the "big kids".. and he is playing at the ekka, wow wee i hear you say, to him this is huge!!

My little angel monster is growing so fast, and boy is she a little Lady muck, she brings me the brush and a hairband most mornings to do her hair, and is carrying a handbag around most of the day....yes she is becoming a real girly girl, which is quite funny to me as i never really was one to don the girly things, until now that is!

I'm still totally loving my job, we had a huge sale today and boy was it busy, i dont normally work saturdays, and i can definitely say i earned my money today..

Think Pinq at Mooloolabah, as most of you know is my SIL's pride and joy, well i have to say she is quite devastated at the moment, as she went to work on Thursday to be greeted with water gushing out of her shop, "apparently" it came from somewhere on the level above them in oceans arcade, and totally flooded and ruined all, and i mean ALL her stock, and you know what the saddest part is OCEANS LUXURY APARTMENTS DONT GIVE A SH#T !!! They said "we will get a plumber in to take a look" lol, i think they will need more than a plumber, maybe an engineer would do the trick, as you see above Think Pinq's shop is THE POOL!!!! knock knock centre management, is there any brain in there!!!! So she is closed at the moment while renovations and the clean up is being done!!! For any of you that have been to Think Pinq (the esplanade, Oceans Arcade Mooloolaba), would know that this is a tragedy, as it is the most adorable little shop filled with all things girly!! and if you havent been give it 2 weeks, and you MUST visit the all new shop when at the Sunshine Coast, you wont be dissapointed...

did anyone watch the footy last night, the roosters (formally known as my team) vs the rabbitohs (now known as my team)....... what an opening round....my poor Craig only lasted all of 8 minutes, before he received a shoulder charge from a rooster....a rooster which just happened to be the player that took on his No. 9 jumper!!!!!! So a dislocated shoulder has sidelined my little Wing for at least 6 weeks....grrr...not happy, what else is there to look at now, sure there a lots of super fit, hot bodied gents that play the game, but come on, they are not Craig Wing! this is what the coach Jason Taylor had to say- They deliberately held him up so the other player could come in and hit him with his shoulder in his back," Taylor said. "If you look at it closely you can actually see his eyes light up saying to the other bloke 'I've got him, I'm holding him up, get him'. "There's a lot been talked about cleaning up the game ... he got held up so someone else could smash him." "It was a cheap shot. "I'd imagine that would be something that they train for and they did it well." ooohhh, nasty words, i hope he is right, all he could be in for a little slap on the wrist himself! thats enough footy talk......Ax

This weeks theme is...... 'when I was a little girl I couldn't wait to grow up so I could.......hmmmm..... thinking think think thinking..O.K. got it.

When I was a little girl I couldn't wait to grow up so I could..... well i can't say i ever thought about growing up as a kid, i loved being a little girl, i had a great childhood, lived everywhere, went to almost as many schools as years i was schooling, saw parts of the world many haven't, did most things a child does, from the city to the country, dressed pretty, got dirty, behaved, misbehaved, bashed up my brother, and got bashed back!!! but it was all good fun, so i cant say i wanted to grow up to do anything really.. how ever I have achieve things i always wanted to achieve.. and through out the years my goals change, and i get new ones.. In my late teens i wanted to be a hairdresser, so I became a hairdresser, then in my early 20's i wanted to achieve more in hairdressing, so i entered competitions, and achieved all i wanted there, then marriage, kids... yes they followed.. then as you all know i fell into scrapbooking.....(thanks again, and again Leah)xxx and after a few years of that i wanted to be published... and yes that happened too! So really all i wanted as a child was to achieve all and as much as i could....and i think i have done that up until now......so now i have new goals that i am working on at the moment, and i sure i will

I love taking photos.....and priting them too... i am by no means a photographer at all, but i just love to snap everything and everything!!! The kids, the dog, hubby, the garden i mean everything... i only have a little ole silver canon powershot A410 its only 3.2 mega pixels it doesnt do much but i love it..i also love editing my photo's, not that i do it that much, or know alot about it, but hey i can turn an image black and white, reduce red eye, crop and stuff.... and i love to print my images when i like! i would love a canon EOS 40D SLR camera, maybe one day in my dream!!! and as for my dream printer...PIXMA 7600...drool!!!!! till next time.........Ax

but i will do my Monday ...LOVE DAY today as i forgot yesterday!!!! today i am going to tell you all about my love for games and puzzles. there are lots i love to play, but there a few i LOVE, i love mahjong, my mum use to play it all the time when i lived in Malaysia as a child, i loved the sound of the tiles tweetering as the were all rambled together with their fast hands, i love the marble, the smoothness and the coldness in your hand, and i love to play the game as well, especially on the computer!!! Crosswords, i do at least one a day whether its in a a magazine or the newspaper, i even occasionally get the cryptic one solved which gives me a huge buzz! It keeps my brain ticking...(although you would think my spelling would be a little better because of it!) MONOPOLY i absolutely hated this game as a child, i think it was because i always lost and i was never allowed to be the banker!!! But playing it with my son now, i enjoy it, (I'm still not allowed to be banker and i still lose) ............................................. SODUKO, this puzzle is highly adictive, to me there like tim tams once you finish one you need another! and then theres scrabble, SCRABBLE ROCKS, i never get to play it as no one else in my household likes it! allthough i occasionally have a game against my girlfriends on our facebook account! (We went through a stage were we had about 26 games going at once, and i got absolutely nothing else done around the house, so we stopped that!) And lastly UNO, i know its a dickie card came but when my son was younger he loved it, and now my nieces love it, and i am always the one they ask to play with.. i also love charades, pictionary, trivial pursuit (especially the 80's edition), Boggle and Yahtzee. So i guess the main reason i love puzzles and board games is either the solitude of suduko, a crossword, a game of patients. or the interaction with the kids, spending quality time NOT in front of a telly....Uno, boggle, monopoly etc, and then theres the have a few drinks and rip out the Pictionary!!!!! so thats my "playfulness" in a nut shell.......Ax

THIS WEEKS BLOG CHALLENGE: what makes you laugh?

Laughing is good for the body. The act of laughing makes your body produce hormones that makes you feel good. I could definitely use a good deep-from-within-pee-in-my-pants-tear-in-my-eyes kind of belly laugh every now and then, and this is what makes me do it!.....

my kids laughing, when my kids laugh hysterically, it makes me laugh, and on and on it goes until one of us is crying...usually me! they are hilarious, Master B at the tender age of 12 is getting an amazing sence of humour, he has always had it, but the puns and one liners coming out of him at the moment are priceless!

A good comedy, although they are few and far between at the moment, there all full of grossness and slagging, and that i dont find funny at all!

i always tend to have a laugh as well when i am reading Marian Keyes books too, they really arent that funny but what she writes about i tend to relate to, and that i find funny, especially Last Chance Saloon, OMG did that book spook me, you would have sworn she wrote it about me!!! I love a laugh out loud book!

When I do something stupid....which is often...i get the giggles, sometimes i think i am so daft..

Being tickled makes me laugh, although i absolutely HATE IT...for some reason it still makes me laugh.

Funniest home videos, gee i hate that show with a passion, but my son always watches it, and you have a giggle at something, then something else happens and then something else, and he is laughing hysterically and before you know it....

John Cleese, now he is funny, and a close second is Rowan Atkinson followed by David Williams and Matt Lucas from little brittain, all 4 of these guys are what you call funny,

and i like it!!! yep...Hi my name is Anissa and i am bi-scraptual...i finally worked it out! after borrowing Photoshop 7.0 for Dummies from the library....and getting absolutely nothing from it mind you,( i think they need to bring out how to understand dummies, for dummies!!) I though i would google digi tutorials again for the 2100th time and i found an awesome one by Kim Hill, it was written in "my language" with pictures, and boy does that make it so much easier.... i felt quite intelligent after reading it, because i understood every word!!! THANKS Kim, if i knew where you were i would send you flowers, and chocolate, heck i would even rub your feet!!! so with that here are my first ever digi layouts, (the first of many im sure).

I am involved in a CJ at the moment, a CJ is a Circle Journal, where you album gets passed around and around and around for approx 6 months and eveybody completes a double page in it, for the theme that you have picked.....So at the moment i have the lovely Ronniedolls album...Ronnies theme is "whats in a title' i chose to do love and marriage..and here is the page. the white tags on the right fan open and there are different page titles written on every one...I hope you like it Ronnie...i had fun doing it!.......Ax

O.K. i tried for the last 4 night for approx 5 hrs at a time....so to add that up thats 20 hrs, to do a digi LO, i have read all the tutorials, printed them out, re read them, read the digi scrapbook creations issues....and i just can not figure it out.....am i stupid, a slow learner....i never though i was.....so heres what im up to....i can open a page in photoshop. (i have photoshop 7.0) i can open a patterned paper, heck i can even create my own paper, i have the airbrushing down packed...but thats where it stops, i just cant seem to get that photo on to the page....i use layers...maybe im not using them properly...i am ripping my hair out. Should i be using a different program, I have the kits, both freebies and bought ones...grrrrr...if anyone can help....PLEASE...... i would appreciate it! maybe i am not suppose to venture into the digi world, maybe my scissors have been having quiet words with my computer, maybe they are ganging up on me... i just dont know! from a very pinged off.....Ax

Terri from SBC has given a few of us girls a challenge to write about the things we love, and seeing it is Monday LOOOOVE day, i thought i would combine them both...hope thats o.k.! SO.... besides the obvious...Hubby, Kids, Family, Scrapbooking, all crafts etc etc etc..... (in no particular order, just how the pikkies turned up)....... i love my white gel pen!!! I know its a weird thing to love, but i would be so lost without it, i use it on every single LO i do, i even try to resist myself using it, but i just can't. i think i may be a GELAHOLIC!! next pic...Ahhhh Billy Idol, or William Broard, what a hunka hunka hunka burnin love...i was soooo in love with him as a teenager, and i think the highlight of my childhood was going to see Billy in concert, i even threw him my 8AA training bra, (lol) and he wiped his brow and handed it back to me....and i still have it. (although it is a bit yellow now)!!!! Actually i am a bit of an 80's fan, LOVE all the music, had all the clothes and hairdo's (but thats a seperate post in itself, stay tuned for that one) (i have pics that will blow your mind!!). Froggies....i love frogs, would love to own one, but for now i have a few living around the house, both real and not, that i love to listen to nightly... dont know when this love started, maybe while i was waiting for my prince charming.....or was that a toad! anyway......im living in fairy tale land... Ahhh, a cup of tea....nothing beats it, first thing in the morning, mid morning, lunch time, after dinner, it doesnt matter.. i prefer it out of a pot, but seeing im the only one in the house that drinks it, making a pot is a bit of a waste. And i love a cuppa out of my favorite cup....i got that cup 12 years ago, from a young client i had while i was hairdressing, he gave it to me for easter with a chokkie egg in it, he was 11 then, so now he would be 23...lol..i wonder if he remembers, i only stopped doing his hair last year, when i gave up hairdressing.... My Bath Robe, this is like an old friend...i just love it, its always happy to see me, never complains, and im sure loves me as much as i love it! My stinky old comfy colorado's....dont we all have a pair of them...i just cant seem to part with them, they are about a year old now, and i wear them as much as i can, they are like walking on pillows, i have the toe grooves worked into them perfectly ever time i put them on my hubby rolls his eyes, shakes his head...and i say...What?... and he says, "nothing"with emphasis on the ing...maybe one day..not in the near future though, i will get another pair and love them just as much....And last but not least CHOCOLATE...now this should have been at the top of my list!!!!not only am i a GELAHOLIC, i am also a CHOCOHOLIC, any where, any time, any type....chocolate bars, chocolate icecream...mmmm magnums...yum....hot chocolate, chocolate body paint...nah just joking about the body paint..lol....i just adore it... well i think i have told you enough today, so until next time......thanks for reading, and enjoy Monday LOVE day...Ax
